Much loved for it’s freshness, mouth watering acidity and upfront fruit. Rustenberg makes a slightly fuller, richer style of Sauvignon Blanc without relying on the influence of oak . The intrinsic Sauvignon Blanc characteristics of tropical fruits, melon and gooseberry with underlying tones of apple blossom, kiwi, pineapple and passion fruit sustained on a fresh, crisp and well balanced palate with prodigious length. The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, which comes from the estate fruit from vines at 580 meters above sea level, has a very fragrant, tropical-tinged bouquet with touches of apricot and guava infusing the citrus fruit. You could compare this to a fine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate has a crisp entry with white peach and passion fruit notes, a fine line of acidity and a lively, lightly spice finish.
