Hopler Gruner Veltliner 2020

If you have never tried this grape variety before this Austrian wine is a sublime example. Made from vines grown in the Guttenberg vineyard close to Lake Neusiedl where the sun humidity and cool autumn winds from the forest imbue the grapes with delightful complex aromas of passion fruit almond and citrus. Maturation in large oak barrels leads to a luscious creamy texture on the palate. The Guttenberg vineyard site is renowned for its ancient weather-beaten rocks which add a vein of minerality to the wine.
